Tributyrin Plus
Tributyrin Plus
Tributyrin is a rapidly absorbed, stable form of the short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) Butyrate; composed of butyric acid and glycerol. Butyrate is one of the main sources of energy for the enterocyte and colonocyte cells of the digestive tract and, as such, may support gut health and digestion. Butyrate has anti-inflammatory properties and may help in maintaining and repairing the protective mucosal layer of the gastrointestinal tract.
The probiotics C.butyricum and B.subtilis contained in Tributyrin Plus act in symbiosis and help the growth of each other, as well as supporting a healthy intestinal microbiome and having a mod-biotic effect.
These butyric-acid and lactic acid-producing probiotics inhibit the growth of non-beneficial bacteria while promoting the growth of the beneficial Bifidobacterium strains, which may lead to an improved microbiome population and improved gastrointestinal health.
